Advocacy Services and Fees

 

The Initial Consultation is Free

 

This 30-45 minute meeting is an opportunity for us to discuss any concerns you may have regarding your student’s learning. The initial consultation often includes: 

• Reviews of any previous testing or evaluations.

• Discuss any social, emotional or academic concerns that you feel may be affecting your child’s learning.

• Draft a plan for how to proceed in the special education process.

 

Available Services

 

• Analysis of evaluations and testing.

• Analysis of current IEP/504 academic goals and accommodations. (ISP if in private school.)

• Goal and accommodation writing.

• Inform parents and caregivers of their parental rights as guaranteed to them by state and federal law. 

• Letter writing in compliance with current state and federal guidelines.

• Meeting attendance at all school meetings. 

• Vetted recommendations for evaluators, tutors and educational programs designed to meet your child’s specific needs. 

 

Fees

 

Hourly rate of $100/hr., not to exceed $500 for all services provided through the signing of the first IEP/504/ISP. Any additional services provided after the first signed IEP/504/ISP will be billed at the $100/hr. rate. 

 

Billing

 

All services will be itemized describing the time spent on each service. 

Billing occurs by the 23rd of each month with payment due by the last day of the month. (Payment schedules can be arranged if needed.)

Payments can be made through Zelle, Venmo or cash.

Billable services include: 

 

• Analysis of evaluations and testing.

• Analysis of current IEP/504 (ISP if in private school).

• Attendance at school and parent/advocate initiated meetings.

• Goal and/or accommodation writing. 

• Letter writing.

• Phone calls exceeding 10 minutes with school staff, parents/caregivers, professionals. 

• Travel time to and from the meeting sites. Travel time is calculated using Google Maps' fastest route.
